She is Professor of Computer Science, University of Illinois Chicago.
She also holds a joint appointment with Argonne National Laboratory.
She was Professor of Computer Science, Illinois Institute of Technology between 2002 and 2023.
She received her Ph.D.(Computer Engineering) in 2002 from Northwestern University (Thesis Advisor: Valerie Taylor).
She co-leads SPEAR Lab (Systems for Performance, Energy, and Resiliency).
